We seek to hire an Executive Assistant as a key member of the Finance department.  This person will be responsible for providing support to the Vice President of Finance and provide administrative support for the VP’s interface with NWF’s corporate Boards and senior staff.  Additionally, the executive assistant will manage the Finance department’s administrative function and recommends process improvements and efficiencies.

Qualified applicants must have B.A./B.S. degree or equivalent and 5 years administrative experience including direct support to senior executive required.  Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and oral, required. Must have excellent language skills, including vocabulary, grammar and spelling. Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to highest quality work products is required.  Outstanding, interpersonal skills are a must, including demonstrated capability to function as a team player and to successfully complete projects with little day-to-day supervision. Must possess good judgment and have the ability to handle confidential information. Must be willing to work long hours as necessary to fulfill job duties and expectations.

The National Wildlife Federation seeks a Senior Communications Manager for Global Warming to translate NWF ’s programmatic messages into the media – newspapers, television, radio, magazines and internet – in a manner that establishes NWF as a leader and that projects and reinforces NWF’s brand and strategic priorities.  The Senior Communications Manager for Global Warming is a senior-level position that requires experience in public or media relations as well as working knowledge of global warming. This position will create and implement media and communications strategies for the organization’s global warming related priorities, with an emphasis on federal policy priorities, oversee and assist with global warming-related media projects being implemented by other team members and serve as the primary point person from the media team on global warming media efforts. This position may require work on weekends and in the evenings and some travel.

Qualified candidates should have a BA or BS degree in an appropriate discipline (English, journalism, public relations) and at least seven years of progressively responsible experience in campaign or advocacy-related communications. Experience or familiarity with global warming as a conservation issue is preferred.

National Wildlife Federation seeks a dynamic and dedicated person to serve as Executive Assistant in the Office of General Counsel.  This person will:

·        manage specific projects on an ongoing basis, such as copyright registrations, state filings, and governance matters

·        be a point person helping staff get the support they need

·        provide administrative support for the department

·        undertake legal research and draft legal documents and correspondence

·        manage the departmental budget

Qualifications:

·        5 years administrative experience (or legal secretarial/paralegal experience) including direct support to senior executive 

·        college degree preferred

·        passion for mission, excellent organizational skills, good judgment, problem-solver, approachable and pleasant

·        discretion and the ability to keep confidences

·        proficiency in MS Word, other MS office suite products, plus for MS Sharepoint and for being technologically savvy

We seek a dedicated professional to lead the international Fair
Climate campaign as part of NWF's international affairs and global
warming teams.  The primary objective of this initiative is outreach and
advocacy to promote United States support for international cooperation
and assistance to developing countries for such purposes as adapting to
climate change, avoiding deforestation, and deploying clean energy.
Specific responsibilities include:  develop and implement an effective
legislative and policy campaign; collaborate with other NWF staff,
regional offices, affiliates, and NWF partners to develop and implement
workshops and other educational and advocacy events; conduct web based
and other outreach; and help fund raise to sustain this important
program.

The position is located in NWF's National Advocacy Center in
Washington, D.C., where you will work as part of a strong team of
advocates.  Some travel is required, particularly within the United
States and occasionally abroad. 


Minimum requirements: college degree (preferably in environmental
policy or international development or other related area, graduate
degree preferred); at least three years of experience (including
preferably experience with grassroots outreach, Capitol Hill,
international organizations, environment, international development,
policy analysis, fund raising experience); public speaking and writing
skills.
